The origin of Bruno Fine Foods began in 1956 when as a 14 year old, Bruno Cultrera would help his father in his door to door grocery business, packing herbs, sugar and salt after school. Four years later, Bruno opened his own food distribution business in Collingwood, Victoria, called Bruno Coffee.
In those days, Bruno was supplying cafes and grocery stores with pasta, oil, beans, coffee and other packaged goods. Bruno’s focus on customer service and value for money resulted in the business rapidly growing, and in 1975 moved to its Lygon Street warehouse. By that stage, Bruno had begun importing food and beverage products from Italy.
From a one man operation, Bruno Fine Foods team now comprises of over 50 staff, and supplies over 5,000 commercial customers. It still relies on that principle first applied over 50 years ago of customer service and value for money.
